How Kim Kardashian Lost 70 Pounds After Giving Birth

Diet Is Just As Important

“I think dieting is so important to weight loss, whereas, I didn’t really ever think that before,” Kardashian West told the magazine. “I thought, ‘Oh, I can work out, I can just eat whatever I want.’ But you have to work out all the time.”

Kardashian West followed the Atkins 40 plan and ate about 1,800 calories a day to complement her exercise routine. She noted that deprivation is not part of her diet plan.

“We eat a lot of fish and turkey,” the celeb said. “It’s a full modified thing. I worked with them [Atkins] in them sending me their snack stuff. And there would be this trail mix with M&M chocolates with peanuts, so there was stuff that makes it you feel like you can live. And not like super-restricted to anything.”

Inspiration From Younger Sis

Kardashian West has been inspired by her younger sister Khloe.

“She does these workouts with these sauna suits underneath,” Kardashian said of Khloe K. “And she’s just. . . I’ve never seen someone so focused.”

“I saw her naked two days ago changing,” Kardashian continued. “And I was, ‘Oh, my God. You are my body icon.’ She’s never been more on fire.” The younger Kardashian used to struggle with her weight before losing 40 pounds and keeping it off.

Kardashian West also said in the interview that she arises at 6 a.m. to work out before her children wake up.
